Are You New Here?
Whether you're new to the Glen Rock area or just new to our church, we know you'll feel welcome once you step through the door and feel the warm greeting we offer. We are a small but varied group, ranging in age from toddlers to octogenarians. Our talents, life experiences, interests, and personalities are as various as our ages, and that is our strength as a congregation. We very much want to know you and to share our worship and fellowship with you. In anticipation of your questions, we've provided a few answers below...
Where are you located?
Zion Lutheran Church is located at 47 Hanover Streets in Glen Rock. Parking is available in our adjacent parking lot.
What is your worship service like?
Here at Zion, we gather for a single worship service each Sunday morning at 9:00am, and it incorprates Holy Communion every week. Our worship service reflects a traditional Lutheran liturgy taken from various resources. We take advantage of our gathering to share news among ourselves as a part of our service as well. Our worship service is very inclusive -- offering the congregation opportunities to take part -- from choir, ushering, lectoring, to assisting with ministry and communion. Children also play a part in our service as they are invited to gather in the front of the church for Children's Sermon with Pastor before they are off to their own brief "Children's Church Time" until late in the service.
You will find that we are all about Fellowship. So, directly following worship, we have a "Social Time" in the adjacent fellowship hall where we share beverages, snacks, and conversation. Then, it's time for Adult Bible Study and Confirmation Class for some, perhaps committee meetings or getting on with their day for others.

What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in! You’ll see people dressed in suits and in casual clothes. We’re much more interested in meeting you than in what you wear.
Where do I take my kids?
Child care for children kindergarten age and younger is available in our Nursery just down the hall from the sanctuary. Families including children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to worship together in the sanctuary.
There are also two rockers available in the back of the sanctuary for those families who wish to remain in worship and calm their little ones.
The worship service usually involves a children’s sermon and other forms of participation for kids.
Do you have handicap access?
We have ramp access to the sanctuary and upstairs fellowship hall. A handicap accessible bathroom is on the same level.
