Modified In-House Worship Services Continue With Changes
Your Council met on September 8 and has good news... we will relax the capacity limitation for worship on September 20, 2020, and we will offer communion in a modified fashion on October 4, 2020. Please see the COVID-19 Worship Update for all the details.
Blanket Sunday
Following our special celebration during worship on October 11, the members of Zion’s Samaritan Sewing group and other volunteers delivered 404 blankets to New Windsor on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020. These quilts will be distributed around the world by Lutheran World Relief. Learn more about our blanket ministry at: zionglenrock.org/ministries/blanket-ministry.
Harvest Home
Harvest Home will be Sunday, October 18th. Please join in celebrating God’s bountiful blessings this fall by donating non-perishable foods for the South York Food Bank. Food items can be brought to church any time between now and 10/18. If you prefer to donate by cash or check please mark your envelope Harvest Home.
Loose Change Offering
As is our custom, we collect a special offering on the final Sunday of each month to donate to one of the many deserving organizations serving our community. This month, the Loose Change Offering during our 9AM worship service on October 25th will benefit the Glen Rock Ambulance Club.
Church Offering
Many of you are mailing or dropping off your regular church offering, and for that we are very thankful. Although the church building is closed to the public except for Sunday morning service, Zion continues to have day to day expenses for providing ministry, and your contributions are used to make sure ministry continues at Zion. The church’s mailing address is 47 Hanover St., Glen Rock, PA 17327.
Altar / High Altar Flowers May be Sponsored
To sponsor flowers, call (717-235-3276) or email (office@zionglenrock.org) the office to check available dates. (Regular altar flowers for 7/19/20 and 7/26/20 are already reserved.) A list of reserved/open dates will soon be available but without option to write-in. You must contact the office to reserve.
